From November 2009 until May 2010, Keep Britain Working is focussing each month on a critical employment issue, to generate 1,000 Ideas for the Next Government.

You can find below every idea submitted since November, as well as previous about how individuals and employers can create and preserve jobs.

November 2009:
Youth Unemployment
Unemployment among 16-24 year-olds is the highest it has been since records began. This risks turning young talent into a "lost generation".
December 2009:
Making it easier to hire
Increasing 'red tape', tax, regulations and employment laws are preventing employers taking on more staff and creating jobs.
January 2010:
Right Attitudes and Skills
The right attitude, or mindset, is more important than the right skills to help beat the recession, say 96% of employers.

Connecting people to jobs
The current labour market arrangements are not as efficient as they could be.

Balancing the UK Economy
